Davis & Floyd was selected to evaluate the existing Wilson Creek WWTP facilities and operations, as well as recommend and design plant improvement upgrades. The plant was initially designed in the late 1950s as a 3-MGD facility with secondary treatment and needed to be upgraded to meet more stringent discharge limits with an expanded capacity to 12 MGD to support future growth.

Davis & Floyd prepared a PER evaluating upgrade alternatives and developed a master plan for the facility. The improvements have been constructed in multiple phases to meet both the performance and budget requirements of Greenwood Metropolitan District. The improvements include headworks, BNR basins, secondary clarifiers, RAS/WAS pump station, diamond disc tertiary filtration, UV disinfection, and sludge handling upgrades.
