Davis & Floyd was hired to assess the existing stormwater infrastructure, develop a stormwater master plan for the 17,000-acre weapons station portion of Joint Base Charleston, and make recommendations for stormwater infrastructure improvements. These recommendations are currently being used by the public services department to form the basis of a stormwater capital improvement program.

Our team developed geospacially-based hydrologic analysis and hydraulic model for the analysis of approximately 44 miles of drainage piping and 82 miles of open channel. We determined where the existing stormwater system lacks adequate capacity, made recommendations for improvements, and rated and prioritized the improvements according to Joint Base requirements. Additionally, we provided mapping (both digital and hard-copy) of proposed improvements, grouped required improvements into projects, and developed programmatic level costs to complete improvements.
