The Town of Mount Pleasant contracted with Davis & Floyd to develop an operations facilities master plan to support the Public Services Department’s operational needs. The master planning services involved three parcels owned by the town and comprised of two non-adjoining parcels (11.4 acres and 10.66 acres), which housed all the department’s operations and the Lieben Road Facility (5.32 acres), not utilized by the department.
The master plan accommodated current and future projected department needs as service capacity and capabilities expand with the town’s growth through the coming years. In addition to the program and operation needs, the master plan considered current and anticipated environmental regulations, drainage requirements, and utility services.
Our master planning services accommodated all existing functions and planned for new ones to include tipping floor operations in the transfer yard, a vector and street sweeping pad to support operations, covered vehicle parking for capital equipment, increased equipment and material storage capabilities, hygiene facilities, and increased security. The master planning services also facilitated site adaptability and expansion for future needs.
