Our team planned and facilitated several public engagement meetings to support the development of the Fort Fair Lawn master plan. These meetings allowed for the public to review and comment on the conceptual designs proposed by our landscape architects and engineers and also allowed for the public to provide both solicited and unsolicited feedback on the master plans. These types of meetings are a critical step of any public master planning process to ensure public buy-in and support. We incorporated low impact development to preserve the integrity of the original fort along with the archaeological findings on site. Our team reduced the developmental impact on the site by keeping the majority of the site untouched. Additionally, we developed the master plan to keep it sensitive to the surrounding residents, minimizing additional traffic by introducing an additional road to and from the park.
