Stormwater Management

We offer a complete array of stormwater management services addressing the collection, storage, treatment, and conveyance of runoff. These services include asset inventory and mapping; hydrological and hydraulic analyses; master planning; flood hazard studies; utility development; and the design, permitting, and bidding of capital improvements. Services have been provided to both public and private sectors throughout the Southeast, including commercial and residential developments, parks, industries, cities, and counties.

Our Stormwater Management professionals specialize in identifying problems associated with the performance of existing systems and incorporating unique solutions in the design of improvements. Understanding that upgrades to infrastructure are typically constrained by existing structures, utilities, and transportation features, improvements commonly include the use of trenchless installation and system rehabilitation practices.

We are experienced in addressing challenges associated with drainage throughout the Southeast, including the design of energy dissipation to address excessive discharge velocities and the design of pumped discharges to address inadequate grades and tidal influences where required.

Supporting the planning and design of development projects, our stormwater services subscribe to Sustainability and Low Impact Development (LID) initiatives and No Adverse Impact (NAI) practices, mitigating the impacts to both stormwater quality and quantity associated with development or redevelopment. We frequently combine Stormwater Management and its Environmental Services to prescribe Best Management Practices (BMPs) to be used in the design of stormwater facilities.
