The Environmental Division provides asbestos and lead paint surveys, abatement design, and monitoring. Our asbestos abatement design team has received EPA-accredited training and is thoroughly familiar with the requirements of asbestos management. Responsible for the design of many large and complex lead-based paint and asbestos abatement projects, we have prepared abatement designs for a variety of building types. Our abatement designs include simple projects, such as small buildings slated for demolition, to more complex projects, such as multi-story college dormitories, office buildings, or operating power plants. Abatement design requires a thorough understanding of the contaminated materials involved, how they were installed, and what purposes they served. Asbestos was a very versatile product with many uses, including insulation, acoustic control, binder in various products, etc. As a part of a complete asbestos abatement design, our engineers and architects specify replacement materials. Often, an abatement project is a good time to consider renovation and / or remodeling for many building components will be disturbed when removing asbestos.
We also provide comprehensive field services for various indoor air complaint / investigation aspects, including mold investigations. We collect surface samples, bulk samples, and ambient air monitoring. Our certified mold remediation specialists can design correction plans.
