Wetland Identification / Delineation / Permitting
Our engineers are involved in the preparation of environmental studies to assess the impacts of proposed activities. These studies are performed in compliance with the National Environmental Policies Act (NEPA). We prepare Environmental Impact Statements / Assessments for various types of projects including water and sewer lines, coastal resort developments, grass-roots oil refineries, chemical manufacturing facilities, highways, oil pipelines, office complexes, etc. Thoroughly familiar with NEPA requirements and various investigations required, we understand the necessary remedial measures to avoid or mitigate environmental impacts.

Davis & Floyd has staff experienced in developing detailed Environmental Assessments for large infrastructure projects such as highways. It is critical that the purpose and need of the proposed project be adequately vetted and specifically crafted. Our environmental professionals work closely with engineering staff to accurately describe the existing facilities, proposed facilities, and viable alternatives. We assemble data on environmental, historical, and cultural resources; assess the impacts of each alternative; and recommend a preferred alternative. We are very well-versed in NEPA, Code of Federal Register, and Department of Transportation requirements for public input and proper documentation.
